Roughly one quarter of University of New Mexico students are unimpressed with the state’s flagship public school, according to a survey that questioned college students about their higher education experiences.
“It’s the worst session I’ve ever experienced and this is my 16th one,” Rep. Mimi Stewart, D-Albuquerque said at The Independent’s panel discussion on Wednesday night. “It’s much more partisan. You know Keith [Gardner, House minority whip] and I usually agree on a lot of things and this session I can’t stand the sight of him.”
Gardner, took the jab in stride and moderator Trip Jennings lead the pair, along with Vicki Pozzebon of the Santa Fe Alliance, through an intense but collegial discussion of the state’s budget crisis.
