Senate Minority Leader Stuart Ingle said Tuesday  that he believes that the State Legislature can pass a budget before the end of the session on Thursday at noon. Gov. Bill Richardson said earlier in the day that he would call a special session next week if no budget deal is passed.

“We’ve come up with a budget. There’s some little disagreements on a couple of things, there always is,” Ingle said in the video, provided by Senate Republicans.

“There is a good possibility we will be out of here Thursday with a balanced budget,” Ingle said. “We are here for the people. We need to take care of business and go home.”

The budget is currently in the House, but members have not yet voted on it.
