As session winds down, lobbyist money continues to flow

Lobbyists continued to spend money on lawmakers during the last week of the 2010 legislative session, as shown by the latest 48 hour lobbyist reports. Details after the jump.

During the legslative session lobbyists are required to file how much money they spend on lawmakers within two days of spending it. This is the fourth report the Independent has done on lobbyist spending, the others can be found here. This week there were four more reports filed, and here are some details:

  • $2319.85 – Spent by lobbyist Daniel Rakes. Most of the amount was spent on a legislative dinner at the Bull Ring  restaurant in Santa Fe. According to the report the dinner was purchased by the Village of Angel Fire, while the alcohol was purchased by the Angel Fire Resort. There is also a payment to the Inn at Loretto for lodging.
  • $1111.50 – Spent by lobbyist Jerry Walker. Entire amount spent on lunch for the staffs of the Legislative Council Service, and the Legislative Finance Committee.
  • $745.00 – Spent by Conservation Voters of New Mexico. $250.00 was spent on a “100 bill party” the remaining $495.00 was spent on an “auto dial phone program.”
  • $625.82 – Spent by lobbyist Jerry Walker. This time the entire amount was to buy dinner for the Senate Corporation Committee which was served in the committee room on Feb 10.
