Democratic congressional candidate Ben Ray Luján raised another $380,000 in the third fundraising quarter of 2008, according to a press release from the campaign.
According to the release, Lujan has raised nearly $1.4 million for the campaign total and $530,000 for the general election.
“The people of New Mexico are excited about getting our country back on track,” Luján said in the statement. “I am thankful for all of their support whether it is in contributions, making phone calls, knocking on doors or attending events.”
Luján had $92,000 cash on hand on June 30, the end of the last fundraising deadline. His Republican opponent, Dan East, had just $10,000. Independent Carol Miller ended June with $2,300 in cash to use for the general election.
The deadline for reporting the numbers to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) is tomorrow for congressional candidates. The numbers will be available at the FEC Web site.
