Roughly one quarter of University of New Mexico students are unimpressed with the state’s flagship public school, according to a survey that questioned college students about their higher education experiences.
A coalition of Democratic senators has signed onto a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, drafted by Tom Udall, D-N.M., urging climate action before the end of the year.
“Our lack of a comprehensive clean energy policy hurts job creation and increases regulatory uncertainty throughout our economy,” Udall wrote. “Businesses are waiting on Congress before investing billions in energy, transportation, manufacturing, building and other sectors.”
Udall’s letter also mentions that the signatories are “concerned with spending hundreds of billions of dollars each year on imported oil from unstable regions.”
Politico reported this afternoon, “Signatories included several coal state Democrats, who have previously raised a number of concerns about the bill.”
