Tom Mullins, a Republican who is running against Rep. Ben Ray Lujan in the 3rd Congressional District announced that he raised over $26,000 in the first quarter of 2010. Mullins announced the results on his campaign blog, where he wrote that the campaign was having “difficulty” in getting the campaign finance report on the Federal Elections Commission Web site.
Mullins announced that his campaign spent $28,399.49 in the first quarter and had $28,680.87 cash on hand by the end of May. Mullins’ opponent in the Republican primary, Adam Kokesh, announced raising more than $57,000 in the quarter, but has just slightly over $12,000 cash on hand.
Democratic incumbent Ben Ray Luján reported raising $150,000 and ended the first quarter with $375,000 cash on hand.
Mullins and Kokesh will face each other in the June 1 Republican primary to see who will take on Luján in the November general election.
