Pete Domenici Jr. announced today that he’ll be getting a little help on the campaign trail from his dad, former U.S. Senator Pete Domenici. The elder Domenici served in the United States Senate for more than 35 years. He retired in 2008 citing health problems.
“I’m pleased my Dad is excited to hit the trail with me. We both love this state so much, and to be able to visit many parts of it with each other reminds me of the times over the years we’ve traveled the state together,” Domenici Jr. said.
The Domenici Jr. gubernatorial campaign said the campaign tour would include “several stops in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, a visit to Santa Fe, Los Alamos, Las Vegas, Hobbs, and Carlsbad, as well as some other communities still in the planning stages.”
