Well, it wasn’t just me who had trouble with WiFi on the Rail Runner this morning.
Apparently power issues on the Rail Runner are affecting the WiFi. I know this thanks to a nice, helpful message from Augusta Meyers of the The Mid Region Council of Governments following my post from earlier today. After reading my blog, she checked in the council’s IT guy who told her of the “power issues” that are “affecting everything – not just the WiFi.”
The IT guy also told Meyers to tell riders who hope to use WiFi to log in problems they have with the WiFi.
Here’s what she passed on:
He says if anyone experiences WiFi problems to let the Rail Runner know at wifi@mrcog-nm.gov which train they were on and even which train car if they can be that specific, so that we are better able to address the problems. We are still in the 3-month WiFi final testing phase, so these are the kinds of things we need to address when they come up. It’s very helpful when riders let us know what issues they had so that we can address them more specifically and get them fixed.
O.K. all you Rail Runner commuters, time to make the WiFi a success. You got the URL. Let them know when you encounter a problem.
