Weh has given his campaign $1 million—more than he’s raised from donors

With another $250,000 donation to his campaign in the last month, GOP candidate for governor Allen Weh has reached $1 million in self-loans. He has raised a total of $1,641,098.40 so far, meaning that Weh has loaned his campaign more than he has raised from individuals.

In Weh’s most recent statement, he did not mention any of his Republican opponents in the primary, but instead Diane Denish, the candidate that he would face in the general election if he wins the primary election on June 1.

“We have the necessary funds to continue communicating our message of changing the way we do business in Santa Fe and putting New Mexicans back to work,” Weh said in a statement. “Mrs. Denish’s campaign funds have been raised for well over three years, whereas we’ve been at this for less than a year. We’ll be very competitive in the general election.”
