Of course not. Does it, in many cases, surpass it? Absolutely. The not so subtle insinuation that all soldiers are 19 year-old jarheads who only want to kill, kill, kill turns my stomach a little. Sure, in an organization as large as the military, there are members with little training, but the vast majority of roles demand highly skilled people and many hours of training. I've spent lots of time in Albuquerque classrooms and I know more veterans than most people and Troops to Teachers - for the right applicant - is a brilliant option to harness some of this country's best talent. On the Troops to Teacher web page is an "Eligibility" link which opens a pdf file explaining academic requirements for eligibility.
