Roughly one quarter of University of New Mexico students are unimpressed with the state’s flagship public school, according to a survey that questioned college students about their higher education experiences.
On Fox News today, Republican pollster Frank Luntz gave his thumbs-up for a campaign ad by public relations firm owner Doug Turner, one of many candidates vying for the Republican nomination for New Mexico governor.
Luntz said of the ad, “It was innovative approach, and it used words coming on screen that got you to really think what was in the ad, and it connects to people.” Luntz gave his seal of approval: “That’s an effective ad.”
The segment, in which Luntz was asked to assess a handful of ads with his trademark voter-approval chart in the background, doesn’t mention the New Mexico race until around 2:10 in the video.
Five candidates are seeking the Republican nomination, but an Albuquerque Journal poll shows the race is really between Allen Weh and Susana Martinez. (Sarah Palin endorsed Ms. Martinez on Sunday.)
