“This is a business bailout in advance,” Kintigh said. “We’re paying people to do business in New Mexico. That doesn’t work in any economic sense.”

Hey, here's a neat magic trick: substitute "Intel" or "Eclipse Aviation" for "Hollywood film company" and suddenly using tax money to leverage companies doing business in New Mexico becomes "brilliant" and Savvy" rather than lacking in economic sense.

Kintigh, Jennings and Arthur are conservatives who HATE Hollywood, even when it OBVIOUSLY benefits New Mexico in many ways. I guess these old guys only like economic development when it pollutes our state, not when it's a clean, renewable industry like making movies!
