CNN this morning featured a reporter from New Mexico Independent’s sister site, the Michigan Messenger, in its story exploring the use of foreclosure lists to challenge voters at polling sites.

In the CNN piece Messenger reporter Eartha Jane Melzer defended her reporting on last month’s story in which she quoted a Republican county chairman in Michigan as saying that the GOP would have a list of foreclosed homes to make sure people weren’t voting from those addresses.
