Town hall meeting to focus on budget/economy

Join The Independent tomorrow as we live blog from an Albuquerque town hall on the federal budget. Albuquerque will be one of 19 locations for the AmericaSpeaks “Our Budget, Our Economy” town hall meeting.

The meeting will take place tomorrow at the Albuquerque Convention Center; registration was required for attendance.

The meeting will focus on engaging attendees in discussion on the federal budget and trying to find common ground in some solutions.

Critics have said that the group is unfairly portraying social security.

America Speaks is funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the Peter G. Peterson Foundation and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation are funding the Detroit town meeting.
