The Santa Fe New Mexican reports six New Mexico food banks will  split $180,000 – money the state received from a multi-state lawsuit over vitamin price-fixing.

After the recent public-works corruption scandal in Santa Fe County, the city’s Ethics and Rules Committee met to redefine the wording in various provisions of the city’s Code of Ethics in order to clarify expectations for the proper behavior of elected officials, reports the Santa Fe New Mexican.

The Valencia County News-Bulletin reports that some residents are suing the county for planning to spend $30,000 on updates to a local hospital; they claim that the county does not have the authority to give money to a private company for its own construction project.

In a  joint sting operation state police in Luna, Otero, Grant and Doña Ana counties cited 13 restaurants for serving alcohol to minors, reports The Deming Headlight.
