The Valencia County News Bulletin reports a former employee of Valencia County Treasurer’s office pleaded guilty to  multiple counts of forgery, fraud, tampering with public records, embezzlement and computer access with intent to defraud.

Taos will pay $52,000 to a Hindu ashram that was denied expansion by Taos Town Council and the Taos mayor will write a letter of support overriding the Town Council’s opposition to the religious order’s plans, reports The Taos News.
