Sunlight’s Party Time provides info on DC fundraisers

Did you know that Jon Barela, the Republican challenger to Democratic Rep. Martin Heinrich, is the beneficiary of a fundraiser scheduled for tonight at the Capitol Hill Club in Washington, D.C.? The cover charge is $250 per person—or $1,000 per political action committee. And the guest of honor is Republican Leader John Boehner.

You can find all this information and more using the Sunlight Foundation’s “Party Time” tool. For example, Steve Pearce, running against Harry Teague in Southern New Mexico, has had two fundraisers at the Capitol Hill Club so far this year. Heinrich has had a long list of parties, most scheduled at local restaurants. So have Teague and Rep. Ben Ray Lujan. But Lujan’s opponent, Tom Mullins, doesn’t have any D.C. fundraisers listed.
