Details have been released for the rallies Barack Obama and John McCain plan to hold in Albuquerque on Saturday.
Obama’s rally begins at 7 p.m. at Johnson Field on the University of New Mexico campus, according to a news release from his campaign. The size of the field indicates that the event should be well attended. The field is on the corner of Girard Boulevard and Central Ave.
The rally is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but reserving a place is encouraged by the campaign. Click here to reserve a place. Bags, umbrellas, signs and banners will not be allowed into the event.
The campaign also encourages carpooling and using public transportation because limited parking will be available.
McCain, meanwhile, will be joined by his wife, Cindy, at a rally at the New Mexico State Fairgrounds, Expo New Mexico, Spanish Village. Doors open at 8 a.m. for the event, which begins at 9:30 a.m.
Tickets are required and available on a first-come, first-served basis. They must be picked up in person at one of these GOP Victory Headquarters: in Rio Rancho at 4100 Southern Boulevard Suite 200, in Santa Fe at 1225 Parkway Drive Suite C, and in Albuquerque at 5643 Jefferson St. NE Suite B and C, 5300 Sequoia Road NW Suite 100 and 5150 San Francisco NE Suite A.
