Lujan leads Mullins 49-43, Daily Kos/PPP poll says

Freshman Democratic Congressman Ben Ray Lujan leads his Republican opponent Tom Mullins by 6 points,  a Daily Kos/PPP poll released today shows. 

According to the results:

  • Women prefer Lujan by 14 points; men prefer Mullins by 5
  • 16 percent of Democrats say they’ll vote for Mullins; 13 percent of Republicans say they’ll vote for Lujan
  • Most voters have favorable opinions of both Lujan and Mullins, although fewer say they have an unfavorable opinion of Mullins
  • Hispanic voters prefer Lujan by more than two-to-one
  • White voters prefer Mullins by 11 points
