Chandler raises $55,000 and has $109,000 on hand

Republican Attorney General candidate Matthew Chandler reported raising nearly $55,000 in the last fundraising period and finished the period with nearly $110,000 cash on hand, according to a report filed with the Secretary of States’ office.

Chandler’s opponent, incumbent Democrat Gary King, reported raising $73,000 in the same period and finished the campaign finance period with $139,000 on hand.

Chandler’s largest contribution of the period, $5,000, came from Yates Petroleum Corp. Harvey Yates, Jr. is the chairman of the Republican Party of New Mexico.

The bulk of the more than $112,000 that Chandler’s campaign spent came on “media production.” That expense cost $102,721.
