Roughly one quarter of University of New Mexico students are unimpressed with the state’s flagship public school, according to a survey that questioned college students about their higher education experiences.
Republican gubernatorial candidate Susana Martinez leads Diane Denish by 12 points according to a poll by SurveyUSA for KOB-TV. The poll shows that Martinez has 54 percent of the support of likely voters while Denish has 42 percent.
According to KOB, Martinez’s lead is even larger among those who have already cast their votes through either early in-person voting or cast their absentee ballots.
“The poll shows Martinez leading with both men and woman of a wide age range and income level,” KOB reported. “Denish still leads amongst Hispanic and Native Americans, but not enough to make a dent in Martinez’s campaign.”
The poll was of 647 likely voters but KOB did not say when the poll was conducted, though did say it was still in the field last night, or the margin of error for the poll.
