Video: KOAT debates between Pearce and Teague, Lujan and Mullins

Candidates in New Mexico’s 2nd and 3rd Congressional Districts faced off at televised debates this weekend on KOAT. The Albuquerque-based station has the videos on its website though it will take a bit of clicking to watch either of the debates.

KOAT recapped the 2nd Congressonal District and 3rd Congressional District debates.

Teague continued to distance himself from the Democratic Party, saying that he voted against President Barack Obama’s budget and Speaker Nancy “Pelosi health care bill”

Pearce said that Teague’s vote for the American Clean Energy and Security Act, or the cap-and-trade bill, would stop oil and gas production in the state.

In the 3rd Congressional District debate, incumbent Democrat Ben Ray Luján revived Tom Mullins’comments about placing land mines on the border.
