Fastbucks’ lawsuit against AG King dismissed

A lawsuit filed by a Texas-based payday lending firm targeted by Attorney General Gary King has been dismissed by a Roswell district court judge, according to the AG’s office.

The Attorney General’s office earlier this year sued Fastbucks, which has outlets across New Mexico, targeting the company for what it called predatory lending, in violation of state law. The office cited cases in which it said the company charged up to 650% interest on small loans.
