Martinez names education search committee members

Governor-elect Susana Martinez today announced the members of a search committee who will help identify candidates for cabinet positions and other jobs in the Public Education and Higher Education departments. They include Dr. Jose Garcia, a political science professor at NMSU; Jack Fortner, a Farmington attorney and UNM regent; Michelle Garcia, a Santa Fe teacher; Bradley Hosmer, a former president of the National Defense University and superintendent of the Air Force Academy; Kari Mitchell, a Las Cruces manufacturing executive who developed the Regional Education Initiative; and Mike Phipps, superintendent of the Artesia Public Schools.
