Former Rep. Heather Wilson announced Tuesday that Bryce Dustman, her former chief of staff, will manage her campaign for U.S. Senate to replace retiring Democratic Sen. Jeff Bingaman.

Dustman served as her chief of staff in the House from June 2001 until January 2009. A press release says that Dustman is a “farmer by vocation” and currently serves as the chief of staff for Rep. Dave  Reichert (R-WA).

She has a large lead and high name recognition as of a late April poll in a three-way Republican primary that includes Lt. Governor John Sanchez and businessman Greg Sowards.
