New Mexico District Court Judge Albert “Pat” Murdoch  allegedly raping a prostitute, which police obtained the evidence of through the purchase of a video of the encounter. Murdoch was charged “for criminal penetration and one count of intimidation of a witness that resulted from an ongoing prostitution investigation,” according to authorities.

The self-admitted 23-year old prostitute alleges that Murdoch paid for sex eight times in his home and assaulted her twice. She recorded the encounter with a hidden camera, and police bought the tape from an informant for $400.

The lawyer of the judge said that his client will be vindicated once all of the facts of the case become clear.

Murdoch paid a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
