Democratic 2nd Congressional District candidate Harry Teague has loaned his campaign another $500,000, bringing the total he has spent on his race during the primary and general election cycles to almost $1.8 million.

Teague’s new campaign loan was disclosed in a filing with the Federal Election Commission that detailed finances from Oct. 1-15. On top of the new loan, Teague raised just under $96,000 during that period and spent $342,000. The most important number: He had just over $400,000 on hand going into the final stretch of the election.

Teague’s Republican opponent, Ed Tinsley, didn’t loan his campaign any money during the reporting period, according to his FEC filing, but he has contributed $735,000 to his race during the primary and general election cycles. He raised just under $156,000 during the Oct.1-15 reporting period and spent just under $176,000. That left him with just under $436,000 on hand going into the final stretch.
