Hitting the election night party parties

By | 11.04.08 | 11:30 am

Want to be where the action (or, perhaps, inaction) will be tonight? Don’t go to the New Mexico Republican Party‘s Web site for help.

There’s nothing on the homepage, and its calendar offers only a monthly candidate breakfast (from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.?), the Curry County Central Committee meeting at 6 p.m., and the Republican Party of Santa Fe County meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Never fear, though, said spokeswoman Shira Rawlinson. The party partying gets down at 7 p.m. at the Uptown Marriott, where folks will be watching returns, noshing and drinking. (Though the party hasn’t yet decided whether the bar is open or cash-only.)

The state Democratic Party‘s Web site features its election night shindigs on the homepage, with this handy invitation:

Except — oops — don’t call that number. It’s a typo. The party’s at 830-3650. And it’s a cash bar, folks, although there should be lots of free food.
