This is the first time this cycle that New Mexico is no longer considered a state with “no clear favorite” on the presidential level according to the Washington, D.C.-based news source.

This leaves just six races with no clear favorite, according to CQ Politics. Those states are Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire and Virginia.

The change of the ranking in New Mexico comes because of favorable polling numbers for Obama.

CQ Politics ranks the Senate race between Tom Udall and Steve Pearce as “Democrat Favored,” one of three races to have that designation.
