Las Cruces clerk finds no election violation by PAC
A controversial political action committee didn’t violate any city ordinance when it failed to report to the city that it had raised money by telling people it was for the Las Cruces municipal election, Clerk Esther Martinez announced Wednesday.
Complaint filed over Las Cruces PAC’s fundraising
Though a local political committee used the upcoming Las Cruces municipal election to raise money, its treasurer says it’s a state PAC and doesn’t have to file a campaign finance report with the city. The city clerk is investigating whether the committee is violating the city election code.
