Lt. Gov Diane Denish's political action committee, Progress, Vision and Commitment, raised just over $80,000 since this time last year, according to a report filed with the Secretary of State's office. The PAC spent all but $1,307.92 in the same period.
Much of the money raised came from large donations.
Nearly a quarter of the money for Denish's PAC came from one source -- the Committee to Elect Diane Denish. Denish's campaign committee pitched in $20,000 to Denish's PAC. The next largest donation came from the Native American Investment Group. Also donating significant sums of money were the Phelps Dodge Mining Company PAC ($5,000) and NARAL New Mexico Choice PAC
($1,000).
The largest expenditure came in February of this year. The PAC spent $31,620 on radio ads in January to promote the February 5 Presidential caucuses. Denish, a superdelegate, has pledged her support to Hillary Clinton who won the New Mexico caucus by a narrow margin.
